Privacy Policy
Effective September 8, 2026
OpenClose is a shift checklist and issue-reporting service for small teams. This policy explains what information the app processes and why.
Information processed
- An anonymous installation identifier used to keep a device signed in.
- A staff display name, activity membership, and role.
- Activity names and codes, schedules, checklist content, completion status, and timestamps.
- Issue descriptions and photos that a user chooses to submit.
- Subscription status and purchase identifiers when paid plans are enabled. Apple processes payment details; OpenClose does not receive full payment-card information.
- Private calendar notes remain on the manager’s device and are not uploaded by OpenClose.
How information is used
Information is used to provide activity access, synchronize checklists and completion status, display operational history, deliver issue reports and evidence, maintain security, and restore subscription access. OpenClose does not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, or track users across other companies’ apps and websites.
Service providers
OpenClose uses Supabase for authentication, database, realtime synchronization, and private photo storage. When subscriptions are enabled, Apple and RevenueCat process purchases and entitlement status. Cloudflare hosts this website and app-link files. These providers process information only to supply their services.
Sharing and visibility
Operational information is visible only to people who have access to the same activity, subject to their manager, monitoring-manager, or staff role. Issue photos are stored privately and displayed through time-limited links.
Retention and deletion
Operational records remain while the related activity exists. A manager can remove a member’s activity access or permanently delete an activity, including its checklists, history, issues, and evidence. Uninstalling the app removes local settings and private notes from that device. Staff may request removal from an activity through its manager.
Security
OpenClose uses encrypted network connections and role-based access controls. Activity PINs are verified on the server and are not stored as plain text in the database. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Children
OpenClose is intended for workplace use and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
Questions and privacy choices
For access removal or deletion, contact the manager of the activity concerned. For product assistance, use the OpenClose Support page.
